Santosham’s reimagining of Yevgeny Grishkovets’ Winter, two soldiers embark on an unknown mission through a desolate, frozen landscape, their purpose obscured by the consuming silence of snow and time. As they journey deeper into the elements, their physical descent into freezing mirrors an inner unraveling—a confrontation with memory, isolation, and the fragile pulse of human connection. In this stark and lyrical meditation, winter itself becomes a character, a quiet witness to endurance and impermanence, as the soldiers slowly surrender to the cold, discovering in their final moments a haunting beauty within the inevitability of stillness.
